The Ring Nebula has always fascinated me, and one that I’ve felt is incorrectly named. To me, it’s always looked more like an eye than a ring, with it’s myriad of hues and its blue iris. My first attempt at capturing the nebula in pixel form was fun and humbling. At first glance, the Ring Nebula seems to be relatively simple, but as I worked on it I realized how complex its colors are. I hope to return to this nebula in the future, and continue to capture fascinating astronomy objects.
